Reviews:

"In my opinion Jason Aaron Wood is a very great sounding mixture of dark, symphonic, neo classical, black, doom and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project." 8/10

ADifferentShadeOfBlackMetalZine

"I just went from curious to wicked excited. I feel a whole lot of Dan Swano, some Katatonia, Moonsorrow, Nightrage, I love it! Super-emotional. Vocals - the way the stylings were done, very Opeth-esque, Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson reminiscence going on in there. My first initial reaction was just the excitement of "Oh -- sweet! This isn't just some 'I'm gonna rip your head off' shred record -- there's gonna be some emotion going on here." I love that.

I think I just cried a little bit. So far I am just stupified. I almost had lost hope... that we had lost this kind of musical prowess out there... This really hits home. I can't wait to hear the next one; I'm out of my damn mind. This is so, so good.

I just can't get over how much all of the bands that I dig that are in this vein that Jason has kind of thrown all the puzzle pieces together into making this a recording that's worth remembering, a recording that's worth going back and listening to." 5/5

I must say I have listened many times and yet having hard time to describe this beauty, the man is giving us a pure album that deserve a wide audience. A one man instrumentalist releasing an album as good as a full band!!!

I’m speechless it’s such perfect, horns up for Jason 100/100.

The Metal Mag

"The 8-string guitar is phenomenal! And Jason's voice and amazing guitar work go hand in hand. This album is raw. It is loud. It is in your face! The melodic lyrics, the deep growls, and mind blowing guitar solos are a perfect balance....As for me, I am inspired to listen to Jason's previous works, and own Emanations when it is released."

Deanna Revis at Autoeroticasphyxium Zine

"Jason crafted a great album and was able to catch the listener’s attention throughout the record. It also has good pacing, the tracks aren’t too long, as progressive albums often are. “Emanations” is a complete album, from the lyrics to the music, and it plays like a soundtrack from an epic battle movie."
